What separates Kevin Purvis is his attention to detail.  His training is individualized. My needs as a marathoner and as someone returning from achilles surgery are fundamentally different from any other kind of athlete - Kevin has taken the time to understand those needs and to tailor my workouts to them.  His training is holistic. With Kevin’s workouts I am not just “stronger”; my mobility is better, my symmetry is better, my form is better. His training is dynamic - Kevin’s workouts change based on what I’m training for, what benchmarks I’ve hit, and how I’ve responded to past training.  He is constantly researching and updating, and anything new goes right into my workouts (once he’s verified it on himself of course). And at the end of the day, he’s fun to work with. Having undergone as many setbacks and frustrations as I have, Kevin’s positivity and enthusiasm have been as helpful in my training as anything else; he is truly one of the best coaches I have ever worked with.

Sandi Nypaver

Professional Ultra Trail Marathon Runner

I've been doing some sort of strength training for a long time, but Kevin has taught me a ton and having him make sure I was moving correctly has been invaluable. When I started working with Kevin I had a lot of imbalances that were negatively impacting my running form and causing small aches throughout my body. Now I'm running pain-free again and moving so much better. It's nice to have a strength coach that understands the demands of my sport and builds my strength program to prepare me for specific events. I also greatly appreciate his positive energy and endless support.

Myself and my coaching team have been working alongside Kevin for the last two years. What I love about Kevins approach is his thinking outside the box for athlete performance and also his willingness to go out of his way to help with the mindset of our athletes. Along with his mobility and strength and conditioning program

Kevins knowledge is second to none and I’m very proud to have him as a coach and also be part of our coaching set up.

When I first started training with Kevin, I had recently suffered a serious knee injury, which, I was told, would prevent me from running again. As a result, I relied on my other leg for everything from standing to walking; this led to the muscles in my injured leg completely atrophying. In the year that I have trained with Kevin, I have been able to gain back all lost muscle mass, and am currently continuing to build all over strength. Even though I am a remote client, Kevin is extremely responsive and always encouraging. The progress I have made in working with him is solely because he is such an amazing trainer and he quite literally knows what he is doing.

I am definitely convinced all the flexibility and strength work has helped a ton… I grabbed a Kona slot, so I am super, super psyched with the race effort and now need to plan a build to October. Thanks again for all the help keeping this old body together. I look forward to a great season. -Paul Gompers

Hey Kevin! Just wanted to let you know how grateful I am for all of the strength work you have given me. This is the longest stretch of no injuries for me ever and I hope to keep it that way. -Katie Colville

That right hip really fatigues on the hip drops. Overall I am doing good as far as the knee pain but definitely still got things to work on and I think we are onto something with the things you have me doing… -Debbie Bowman

A lot of things that were really chronic cleared up over the last year… My high hammy is no longer there, my plantar fasciitis is no longer there… I feel so much better, my back feels so much better, my glutes feel so much better, when I get in and out of the car I used to be scared of how I would feel getting in and out of the car before I started doing your stuff. I feel really good, just so you know. -Edward Stern
